Villa 10 takes you back in time to Brazil’s 19th century colonial past. This grand mansion is located on a farm that was an important sugar and coffee plantation from the 1800s onwards. The estate also has the second most important historic sugar mill in Brazil. Today, the farm breeds Mangalarga Marchador horses.
Every detail of this house is impressive and it is one of the most extraordinary rural properties in Brazil. It has been impeccably renovated, both externally and internally, and tastefully decorated with period furniture, carpets, rare porcelain objects and other period pieces.
The attractions are many and follow the tranquil rhythm of farm life: a swimming pool and barbecue area for sunny days, as well as a living room with a fireplace for cozier moments. All this on a plot of land surrounded by greenery as far as the eye can see in the Rio de Janeiro region of Paty do Alferes
Spending a season in our villa 23 is a special experience, the kind that transports you to another time. Located in Sousas, near Campinas, the property is an old coffee farm that has undergone an impeccable restoration.
The historic mansion has been well maintained and full of charm, but the grounds, surrounded by greenery as far as the eye can see, have been given an annex with a large leisure area and various attractions where you can literally forget about the hectic life going on outside.
All this without counting the many ways to explore the magical scenery that frames the horizon, at a slow travel pace, as a season in nature demands.
The inspiration for the construction of this villa was a rare vinyl by Dorival Caymmi – one of Brazil’s most influential singer-songwriters – recorded in the 1950s and cherished by the owners. But the moment you step inside, it all becomes clear: this collector’s gem has inspired a home filled with Brazilian soul and an irresistibly laid-back charm.
The beachfront location is a highlight: the villa sits on a beachfront plot in one of the most secluded corners of Praia dos Pinheiros, within a gated condominium, just a few kilometres from São Paulo. With the sea as the star of the setting, every part of the house has been thoughtfully designed to frame the view. Even the gourmet kitchen flows seamlessly into the living room. The tropical landscaping embraces the scenery without blocking the ocean views, despite the lush greenery.
And the local caiçara culture shines through in many of the decorative features – with light tones, paddles hung on the walls, and other seaside elements -which retain a cosy and comfortable feel.
From the five suites to the TV room, every space is delightful. Not to mention the outdoor area: there is a swimming pool, sauna, a pergola with hammocks, and a fire pit perfect for warm, fire-lit evenings. From beginning to end, this is the beach house of our dreams.
Newly built villa 55 is located in Altos de Trancoso condominium on a cliff with stunning sea views. It is one of the most special villas in our portfolio.
This is the perfect house to unwind in…whether swimming in the pool, using the gym, playing pool or merely relaxing in the garden. You can even watch the beautiful pink sun rise from every room in the house.
When the sun has set you can sit by the fire pit in the garden, watching the gentle come and go of the sea, while sipping a refreshing caipirinha. The staff are extremely attentive, who bakes fresh bread daily as well as preparing delicious pizzas cooked in the wood burning oven.
The icing on the cake is the villa´s décor, with its modern pieces of art and local artefacts which combined with the subtle lighting blend seamlessly into the living areas and the bedrooms – by the way, the master suite is really very special.
Inside a small condominium – there are only 11 houses – on Itapororoca beach in Trancoso, villa 58 is the best translation of life by the sea in Bahia.
Imagine a house that’s all open and airy, with that bossa that makes you dream of spending a season in the region’s Bahian hideaways. Everything takes place around a large wooden deck, where the pool, gourmet area and living room connect.
Between cozy armchairs, a games table and sofas that hug you, it’s hard to leave – whatever the time of day. But to get to the beach, all you have to do is walk down a short path immersed in greenery. Once there, a large almond tree acts as a sun hat, complementing your dip in the shade and fresh water of villa 58.
To get to the house, you have to leave your car at the gate and choose between walking a few meters or taking a golf cart, another of the property’s charms.
This villa is perfectly located in a small exclusive condominium between Trancoso´s central square (the Quadrado) and Rio da Barra beach. As much as Trancoso´s beautiful beaches and old town centre might entice you away, this particular villa is hard to leave.
It is a newly built, charming, relaxed, understated and typically Bahian beach house. One of its unique features is the pool which is positioned in the centre of the house, connecting all rooms.
The villa has bright airy living areas and basically everything you might need to make the most of a relaxing, care free holiday. Another highlight of this villa is its staff who are on hand to prepare delicious meals and cocktails.
Villa 66 has views across a valley in Trancoso and is known as `Alma Ninho´ (Soul Nest) as the owner, chef Morena Leite, has made the kitchen the focal point of the house, giving it a unique gastronomic feel.
The kitchen opens onto a charming sitting room where everyone congregates during the day. From breakfast in the refreshing breeze to pizza nights under starry skies, this is the place to come and relax and absorb the laid-back Bahian lifestyle. As befits a villa owned by a chef, all the menu choices have been picked by the owner, who has been the chef at one of the best and most famous restaurants in Trancoso, Capim Santo, for many years.
Four en-suite bedrooms, a pool, a sauna and plenty of good vibes will ensure total relaxation. All this is on the doorstep of Trancoso´s famous central square, the Quadrado, where guests will enjoy balmy evenings wandering around the shops and restaurants of this unique corner of Bahia.
Arriving at Villa 67 is always impressive. After all, we’re talking about a house in the Fazenda Rio da Barra condominium, completely immersed in the forest that surrounds Trancoso. So even though the sea is close by, you’ll feel like you’re in a refuge hidden in the green countryside.
Naturally, every detail has been designed to take advantage of these breathtaking views. The infinity-edge swimming pool, for example, is one of those places where you can spend days away from the frenetic ticking of the clock. The same goes for the four suites – especially the beautiful master suite – which offer an atmosphere of peace and privacy.
To top it all off, the house is bright, comfortable and elegant, with that unpretentious style that is so well suited to beach destinations.
Much more than just a house, Villa 70 is a true declaration of love for the exuberant nature of Trancoso. Its location helps explain this: newly built, the property occupies a plot of 800,000 square meters, completely immersed in the forest and very well preserved.
The arrival, worthy of a movie, is impressive and makes it clear that this is a different experience in Trancoso, one that is fully dedicated to the greenery. And here, it’s worth mentioning: all the trees, as well as the various species of monkeys and birds, have been cataloged to honor such a special setting. There is also an apiary where some species of bees are cultivated.
With a lot of wood, the design is welcoming and enhances natural light in every room, including the bathrooms in the suites. Additionally, everything you need to enjoy this retreat without thinking about anything else is here.
Villa 70 also has a private and charming trail that leads to the beach of Itapororoca, one of the most pleasant and peaceful in the region – the team sets up the perfect structure for guests who want to spend the day by the sea. In other words, there is no more complete experience of Trancoso.
